Though pirates are known for their toughness, those who want to rank among the best buccaneers in Tales of Pirates must keep their wits as sharp as their blades. Both will be put to the test come May 28th during a special contest event known as “Brains & Brawn” in Tales of Pirates II.
The event will begin when the GM reveals 4 clues in the system channel and announces the start of a contest round. There will be a total of 10 rounds. Participating players waiting in Zone A of Arena Isle will need to pass through the perilous Zone B teeming with ghastly monsters and reach Zone C. There they must set up a stall, which they must name with the answer to the clues. The first pirate to set up his or her stall with the correct answer will win the round and earn 1 point.
Hordes of Zombies, Fox Spirits and Hell Pharaoh As roaming in Zone B are naturally immune to spells of invisibility, seduction and stunning, so they will pose a serious challenge to the contenders. Savvy swabbies will carefully observe their positions and patrol areas to determine the fastest route across Zone B. However, successfully navigating through Zone B is only half the battle. Players must be nimble in both mind and body as they attempt to set up their stalls quickly to display the correct answer. Setting up a stall is no simple task in Tales of Pirates, so attentiveness and speed are essentially if players wish to contend for the precious point available in each round.
Example Round
After the GM announces the 4 key words in the system channel, such as “Wings, Gem, Fire-breath, Black,” players must hurry down the platform and make their way through Zone B. Upon reaching Zone C, they should set up their stalls with the name “Black Dragon” as the correct answer. The fastest pirate to complete all the above will earn 1 point.
Rewards
At the end of 10 rounds, the top pirate with the highest number of points will swagger away with 2 Dragon Treasure Chests. Those who earn the second and third prizes will each receive 1 Dragon Treasure Chest. Dragon Treasure Chests are valuable to those who seek a coveted ultimate Dragon Gem. Imbued with the legendary powers of the Black Dragon’s soul, this priceless treasure grants immense stat boosts to weapons.
Participating players who fail to finish among the top 3 need not feel left out, though. TOP officials have prepared awesome consolation prizes of 20 Peter’s Stealthy Potions for every pirate who takes part in the event. Consuming a dose of this potion allows a pirate to turn invisible while in PvP mode. This is a particularly handy tool for anyone looking for an edge against their fellow cutthroats, especially since the rare concoction cannot be found in the Web Mall or from monster drops. Only those plucky pirates who take part in the event will receive the extraordinary Peter’s Stealthy Potions, so don’t miss out on this fantastic event!
