If you have ever played Treasure Isle or Treasure Madness, you are sure to be familiar with the treasure hunting genre. Digger is the new Facebook title from Progrestar, a Russian social application developer. As the name implies, you are a digger as well as a pioneer to explore the mysterious islands and hunt precious treasures in the game.
The Digger world consists of various maps of tropical islands in an archipelago. You set sail to the various islands to discover the mystery. By using a shovel to dig the land, you are able to search different rewards, like caps (the in-game money), exp, fruits and exciting hidden treasures.
If you have completed a treasure set of total five collections, the set can be traded in caps, exp and precious stones from the museum. At the same time, you have to find the spare parts for your ship in the islands. When you collect the needed parts for the ship construction, you are allowed to explore distant islands to challenge new maps with the upgrade of your tiny raft into a marvelous ship. Although you may feel that Digger is similar to Treasure Isle or Treasure Madness, the game is more challenging and exciting with some new contents.
As the game progresses, you may find out that you are discovering the islands by means of not only digging the ground but also whacking bushes as well as scooping up the coral thicket in the sea. Furthermore, there are a variety of obstacles ahead waiting for you. When exploring the islands, you are easily stuck with random obstacles that require more than a shovel. Sometime, you see a sea turtle, an animal trap, and even a scary alligator stopping you forward. In this way, you’d better prepare different useful equipments to help you move on.
At your home island, you can order the equipments you need with a merchant. There are five orders: dynamite for blowing up the rocks, meat for feeding carnivorous animals, rum for trading secret treasure maps with some characters like Robinson on your journey, vegetables for feeding herbivores, and wrench for disassembling the dangerous traps. In your hut, you can also order the supplies which are required to unlock the brand new shores. Actually, the objects need time for delivery, taking from 30 minutes to several hours according to your order amounts. All these challenges make Digger more playable and amusing.
Your small home island can be expanded and decorated with some really cool stuff, like strange Merry Statue, beautiful blue violet and funny animals from the store. However, the decorations are not so many that you will be limited to design your virtual space. In the meantime, you can also customize your own animated avatar for free. This really represents quite a savings because it is difficult to make money in Digger.
Now if you want to get some starmoney, the currency in the game, you can exchange your Facebook credits with them. Therefore, you can buy lots of useful items, like food, equipments and even perks. Having extremely incredible effects, such as double experience, faster energy recovery and more, these perks will bring you a faster pace in the game.
As a social game, Digger pays more attention on teamwork as well. Friends are your crucial helpers because you can not only obtain the daily bonus from them, but also organize a close-knit team both to increase the maximum energy and to add your supplies as a team bonus. What’s more, you can ask your friends for a fruit basket to boost your 50% energy for free. If you have the surplus collection but need a special one, you are able to trade with your friends from their wishlist by moving your mouse to your friends’ icons. As a result, your friends become your loyal followers and bring you great help with their strength on your way to a great treasure hunter.
With some new element different from previous Treasure serious, Digger has interesting gameplay, modern design and surprising storyline. Start your journey around the archipelago, and participate in the discovery for marvelous hidden treasures. If you are a person of interest in treasure hunting, Digger is a nice choice for you.
